Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) is an Internet-based invoicing system that is utilized by both vendors and DoD personnel. WAWF improves efficiency and accountability, as well as supports standardized policies and procedures for electronic invoicing. UCS has provided expert program management, functional support, and technical services on a variety of WAWF contracts since 2001 and has helped the DoD move from an outdated paper-based billing process to an electronic invoice processing system.
UCS’s WAWF successes include:
- In FY07, UCS helped the Navy achieve $24.9 million in savings and increased WAWF usage by 38%.
- UCS has trained over 1,000 vendors and over 8,000 government users, including inspectors, acceptors, voucher examiners, group administrators, and program managers.
Our consultants’ abilities to deliver full-spectrum WAWF implementation support stem from UCS's background in system analysis, enterprise integration, and DoD workflow processes and standards. UCS’s end-to-end WAWF consulting services encompass defining a client’s “WAWF Program” strategic goals and priorities, negotiating system requirements, executing software testing, presenting management metrics, conducting training, and providing help desk support. These comprehensive services result in long-term benefits and sustainable invoicing efficiency and accuracy improvements.
UCS’s WAWF clients include:
- Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED)
- Department of the Navy (DoN)
- Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA)
