With 26 years of experience in the Military Health System (MHS), Tom is responsible for managing and supporting military healthcare programs and initiatives. He is also in charge of developing services to support the MHS and other federal agencies focused on providing superior state of the art health and preventive care for Service members, their families, and those retirees who have served our nation.Tom has been a principal assistant at the Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery providing expertise with health care policy and program management. He has extensive knowledge and experience providing technical assistance, regulatory policy development and analysis, healthcare program evaluation, and implementation support at the senior executive level within the MHS, Department of Veterans Affairs, and Department of Defense. Just prior to joining UCS, Erik served as Counsel to the U.S. Senate Committee on Small Business & Entrepreneurship where he developed legislation in the areas of procurement, acquisitions, and contracting, as well as for the technology and innovation community. Erik has a B.S. in Biology and Chemistry from Virginia Tech, and a J.D. from TMC Law School in Michigan. He is currently pursuing an MBA at Johns Hopkins University. |
